مقدمة

Tower Semiconductor's equipment has contributed to the rapid development of the electronics industry over the past 50 years. These devices are critical components in a wide range of applications, from computers, consumer electronics, and communication equipment to industrial, water, medical, and automotive applications. The rapid changes in the semiconductor industry frequently render newly introduced equipment and applications obsolete in a very short time. The use and application of semiconductors have seen tremendous growth as performance increases and size and cost decreases. Tower Semiconductor is an independent, specialized wafer foundry primarily serving semiconductor manufacturers. Wafer foundries do not supply their own products but centrally manufacture integrated circuits based on customers' specific design requirements. The company primarily manufactures semiconductors for customers based on third-party designs. Tower Semiconductor was founded in 1993 after acquiring National Semiconductor's 150mm wafer fabrication plant in Migdale Emecco, Israel, and operates commercially as an independent wafer foundry.
