The ZKSync community has initiated a proposal to allocate 8.5 million ZK tokens to fund Guardian Operations.

BlockBeats News, August 7th, according to official sources, the ZKsync Stargate team submitted a proposal in July 2025, planning to allocate a total of 8.5 million ZK tokens from September 2024 to September 2026 for Stargate compensation and governance expenses. The proposal will revoke the existing 2 million unissued ZK cap minting allowance (V1) and enable a new 8.5 million ZK cap minting allowance (V2) to be managed by the ZKsync Stargate.

Specifically, 3.75 million ZK will be used for compensation in the 2024-2025 fiscal year, 3.75 million ZK for the 2025-2026 fiscal year, and an additional 1 million ZK for administrative expenses.
