BlockBeats News, December 5th, according to AXIOS website, this week the proposal to ban state-level artificial intelligence legislation by U.S. President Trump encountered a setback on Capitol Hill, increasing the risk factor for the next steps of the White House and AI affairs chief David Sax.

Despite continued pressure from the U.S. government, Congress has refused to include relevant priority provisions in the annual National Defense Authorization Act. However, the White House apparently does not intend to stop there.

Three sources familiar with the matter revealed that the executive order discussed by the White House in November, aimed at prioritizing over state-level AI legislation, has now been put back on the agenda. It is not clear whether the content of this potential executive order is consistent with the earlier leaked draft. The leaked draft of the executive order obtained by AXIOS calls for taking aggressive measures, directing the Attorney General to establish an "AI Litigation Task Force" within 30 days to challenge state AI laws.
