Caixin: CZ Confirms His Own Pardon and Will Focus on Investment and Collaboration in the Future

Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance, confirmed this to Caixin on October 25th. CZ stated that he would continue to focus on the family office YZi Labs' investment business in the future and has been invited to serve as a cryptocurrency industry advisor to heads of state from multiple countries.
The Wall Street Journal reported on October 23rd, citing sources familiar with the matter, that Trump had signed a pardon for CZ, the founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, on October 22, 2025, Eastern Time, and expressed "sympathy for his ordeal."
White House spokesperson Levitt responded to inquiries, stating, "President Trump exercised his constitutional power to pardon Mr. CZ." Levitt also emphasized that CZ was indicted during the former President Biden's "war on cryptocurrency."
