Introduzione

Gram (GRAM), formerly known as The Open Network (TON), is a decentralized Layer-1 public blockchain supported by the TON Foundation. It is fully open-source, uses a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, and focuses on Web3 application development within the Telegram ecosystem. In June 2026, its native token was officially renamed Gram (GRAM) from Toncoin, a return to the name from the original 2018 white paper. Only the name and logo changed; users did not need to swap tokens, and the blockchain's name and technical architecture remained unchanged. The project's vision is to enable 500 million users to have their own digital identities, data, and assets within Telegram by 2028.
