Trump: Cook Appears to Be Engaging in Misconduct

BlockBeats reported yesterday that U.S. President Trump signed a document to remove Fed Governor Cook from office, effective immediately. Trump stated in the document: "Pursuant to Article II of the U.S. Constitution and the amended Federal Reserve Act of 1913 granting me authority, I hereby dismiss Cook from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Given Cook's lack of honesty in financial affairs, and potential involvement in criminal activities, I cannot have confidence in your integrity. At the very least, these actions expose serious negligence in your financial transactions, casting doubt on your ability and credibility as a financial regulator."
