Solana developers consider increasing block limit by 66% to 100 million computational units to further increase network capacity
Odaily News Solana developers are considering raising the block cap from 60 million computing units to 100 million computing units through the SIMD-0286 proposal, which will achieve a 66% capacity increase, provided that validators choose to participate in the upgrade. The proposal aims to further increase the capacity of the Solana network and allow more transactions per second to be processed. The computing unit is the basic unit for measuring transaction complexity and resource consumption in the Solana network. Increasing the block computing unit cap will directly enhance the networks transaction processing capabilities. (The Block)
