On October 25, 2024, the city of Lugano in Switzerland unveiled a statue in Ciani Park (Villa Ciani) to commemorate the anonymous creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. The event was organized by the Plan B initiative in collaboration with Tether and the city of Lugano.
This statue was designed by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi and took 18 months of research and 3 months to build.
