Apple remains its top holding. In the second quarter, it also reduced its holdings in Bank of America by over 26 million shares, with its stake decreasing by over 40% in a year. Berkshire completely sold its stake in T-Mobile during the quarter. It initiated a new position in Cerner with over 5 million shares, with an end-of-quarter market value of nearly $1.6 billion. Cerner's stock price surged over 9% in after-hours trading. Berkshire also initiated a new position in Nucor Corporation with over 6.6 million shares, with a market value of over $800 million. Among the top ten holdings, Berkshire only increased its position in Chevron in the second quarter, buying over 3.4 million shares.
