UK cryptocurrency users will be required to provide personal information to service providers from next year
Odaily News Starting January 1, 2026, cryptocurrency users in the UK will need to submit information including their full name, date of birth, address, country of residence and tax identification number to service providers, otherwise they may face a fine of up to £300 (approximately $408). The regulation applies to all companies classified as crypto service providers, including exchanges, wallet applications, NFT markets and crypto asset management services.
