Amazon acquires AI wearable device maker Bee

Odaily News Amazon (AMZN.O) has acquired Bee, a startup that makes a $50 wearable artificial intelligence assistant. Lourdes Zorro, co-founder of the San Francisco startup, announced the acquisition in a brief LinkedIn post. Bee makes a wristband that records and transcribes the users activities, using the information to generate to-do lists and summarize conversations. As part of the agreement, all Bee employees received an invitation to join Amazon, Amazon spokeswoman Alexandra Miller said.
