Argentinian Ethereum developer <strong>Fede's intern</strong> has decided to donate $500,000 for Tornado Cash's co-founder's legal defense
BlockBeats News, August 12th, according to The Block, Argentine blockchain developer "Fede's intern" was briefly detained by the police upon entry into Turkey, and has now been released and returned to Europe. He stated that the incident stemmed from a case brought against him by the Turkish Minister of Interior, accusing him of assisting others in misusing Ethereum in connection with a certain privacy protocol.
The developer said that his trip was to promote a DeFi project and a wine export partnership. He emphasized that his team's previous research on Tornado Cash only involved de-anonymization analysis and never engaged in any illegal activities.
Fede's intern stated that he has decided to donate $500,000 to Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm's legal defense.
