According to Bloomberg, the Executive Director of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong, Ashley Alder, and Legislative Councilor Wu Chi-wai have been removed from the guest list of the Bitcoin Asia Summit held on August 28–29. The previous archived page showed that they were originally scheduled as speakers but chose to withdraw after receiving advice not to interact with Eric Trump.
Eric Trump, the son of former U.S. President Donald Trump, is one of the event's speakers, currently serving as Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization and involved in multiple U.S. crypto projects. The SFC responded that Alder could not attend due to a business trip, while Wu Chi-wai stated that he had to cancel his trip due to family reasons.
Additionally, according to the South China Morning Post, informed sources reported that both individuals withdrew because they were instructed not to interact with Eric Trump, son of former President Donald Trump.
