Republic of Ghana Plans to Issue License to Cryptocurrency Platforms

BlockBeats News, July 24th, according to Bloomberg, the Republic of Ghana is planning to issue licenses to cryptocurrency platforms, as the authorities aim to both regulate the asset class used by millions in this West African country and generate revenue.
The Governor of the Bank of Ghana stated that the central bank is finalizing a regulatory framework, intended to be submitted to Parliament for review in September. The proposed legislation would enable the country to fully harness cryptocurrency, facilitate cross-border trade, attract strategic investments, and gather financial data.
