SlowMist Cosmos Updates Venus Security Incident: Protocol Should Be Fine, Large Holders' Computers Possibly Compromised
BlockBeats News, September 2nd, SlowMist Cosmos updated the Venus security incident on the X platform as follows:
1. The Venus Protocol should be fine, but we do not rule out the possibility of the Venus frontend being compromised, leading to phishing attacks against large holders (the Venus team can also investigate this part);
2. Large holders' computers may be targeted with poisoning attacks (under investigation);
3. The hacker was well-prepared, and the source of funds is somewhat complex, with the gas source being converted from XMR;
4. Large holders and SlowMist are in communication, with many details not yet disclosed. Additionally, the actual loss may be less than $20 million.
