Stripe-Backed Payment Blockchain Tempo Launched on Private Testnet Incubated by Paradigm

BlockBeats News, September 5th, according to official sources, Stripe and Paradigm-incubated payment public chain Tempo has launched its private testnet. Tempo is designed for stablecoins and real-world payments, aiming to provide low fees, support for transferring and paying gas fees in any stablecoin, optional privacy, and over 100,000 TPS.


The first batch of partners includes Anthropic, Coupang, Deutsche Bank, DoorDash, Lead Bank, Mercury, Nubank, OpenAI, Revolut, Shopify, Standard Chartered Bank, Visa, and others.


Tempo's use cases cover global payments, salary disbursement, embedded financial accounts, fast and low-cost cross-border remittances, 24/7 settlement of tokenized deposits, micropayments, intelligent contract-based payments, and more. Tempo is built on Reth and is EVM-compatible.

Tether and Circle have collectively minted stablecoins worth $12 billion in the past month.
The Trump family-backed crypto projects WLFI and ABTC both dropped over 20% today.
