The new malware ModStealer can bypass antivirus software to steal encrypted wallets

BlockBeats News, September 12th, According to Decrypt, security company Mosyle disclosed a cross-platform malware named ModStealer, which can disguise itself as a background assistant program, bypass antivirus detection, and specifically target browser-based crypto wallets. It spreads through fake recruitment ads targeting developers, specifically those who may have already installed or used the Node.js environment. Once executed, this malware will scan browser-based crypto wallet extensions, system credentials, and digital certificates.
