BlockBeats News, July 18th, according to Coinglass data, the global open interest for standard contracts and perpetual contracts has reached a record high of 16.24 billion DOGE (equivalent to approximately $4 billion at the current price), representing a 48% monthly increase, surpassing the previous peak of 14.31 billion DOGE in January this year.

Coindesk analyst Omkar Godbole stated that the open interest reflects the scale of active contracts at a specific time, and its simultaneous rise with the price is usually considered a trend confirmation signal. Currently, the DOGE perpetual contract funding rate remains positive, indicating strong leverage long demand – this type of demand often exacerbates price volatility.
