World Federation of Exchanges Warns SEC Against Crypto Token Exemption or Weakening Investor Protection
BlockBeats News, November 27th, according to Reuters, the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) this week wrote to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), warning that intending to grant regulatory "waivers" to cryptocurrency companies to issue "tokenized stocks" may undermine investor protection and pose market integrity risks, stating that the "SEC should avoid granting waivers to companies attempting to circumvent regulatory principles that have protected the market for decades and should compete on the same stage, under the same rules, as cryptocurrency platforms."
