It has grown to become the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap, second only to Bitcoin. In 2014, Ethereum raised about 31,000 Bitcoins, worth around $18 million at the time, through an ICO (Initial Coin Offering). At the time of the ICO, the price of Bitcoin was around $600.
