Astroturfing

By: WEEX|2024/10/10 16:15:00

Astroturfing is a deceptive marketing tactic where artificial support or enthusiasm is created around a crypto project to make it appear more popular or credible than it truly is. In the crypto industry, this can involve creating fake social media accounts or using bots to generate positive comments, reviews, or hype about a new token or project. Astroturfing often misleads potential investors into believing that a project has a strong, organic following, when in reality, the support is manufactured.
