Goerli Testnet

By: WEEX|2024/10/26 07:45:28

The Goerli Testnet is a public test network for Ethereum, where developers can test smart contracts, decentralized applications (dApps), and other blockchain functionalities without using real Ether (ETH). Testnets like Goerli simulate the main Ethereum network but operate with free, valueless tokens instead of real ETH, providing a safe environment for experimentation. Goerli is one of several Ethereum testnets, along with Ropsten, Kovan, and Rinkeby, each serving similar purposes. Developers use Goerli to test their code, detect bugs, and ensure that their applications run smoothly before deploying them on the Ethereum mainnet. This helps reduce the risk of costly errors or vulnerabilities on the live network.
