Bhutan Teams Up with Matrixport to Advance Digital Financial Infrastructure, Launches Gold-Backed Token TER Project
BlockBeats News, December 11th - The Gelephu Mindfulness City Authority (GMCA) announced the appointment of Matrixdock, a RWA platform under Matrixport, as the core tokenization technology partner for the upcoming gold-backed token TER. Matrixdock will be responsible for building the underlying tokenization technology framework for TER, leveraging its technical expertise in gold tokenization and institutional-grade RWA infrastructure to support the GMCA in constructing a verifiable, transparent, and digitally native financial system.
With this collaboration, Matrixdock will become one of the world's earliest technology providers to enter a national-level RWA scenario. The pilot of a sovereign-level gold stablecoin will not only lay the foundation for Bhutan's digital financial architecture but also is expected to become a reference for standardization in the industry. Against the backdrop of national-level RWA projects, the related pilots will have a profound impact on market infrastructure standards, technical paths, and governance models, providing a new source of "pricing system" for the entire industry.
